David Bruce Johnson has been pursuing his passion for sculpture since 1987. He defines his vocation as “self-employed in an unstructured work environment”.
David follows his personal inspirations rather than trying to establish a pigeon-hole for his work. Accordingly, his sculptures in wood and stone are uninhibited by medium or subject matter. David gives free rein to his artistic expression and takes an approach to sculpture that is the epitome of creativity: "I don't try to plan my artwork too precisely in the beginning. Instead, I allow myself to thoroughly enjoy the creative process. By doing so, I always attain a result that is much better than my original idea."
David’s artwork consistently reflects his goals: originality, versatility and artistry. He is in demand in Canada and the United States as an artist, an instructor, and a competition judge. His work is represented in private collections in several countries.
