In the early 1990’s, Dean began his work as a professional Canadian actor. Shortly thereafter, he began ‘dabbling’ in glass. His business is “A Real Glass Act”. From the onset, his has been a product line less traditional in nature that is both rustic and elegant, largely incorporating unorthodox ‘framing’ materials, elements from nature, and glass, both vintage and reclaimed.
Dean continues working steadily as an actor/writer/producer in both stage and film, while simultaneously producing his glass creations from his home studio or while ‘on the road’. He resides in Collingwood with his family, and cuts his fingers substantially less than he used to
