During the past ten years I’ve had the opportunity to fine tune my visioning skills to create a unique combination of abstract impressionist and realist images with deep emotional appeal.
Being inspired by Andrew Wyeth’s realism and Claude Monet’s impressionism has enhanced my journey of creative expression.
Although my medium is two dimensional digitography, I try to create the depth of a third dimension. My mind’s eye is drawn to the scene, the camera captures the image and the computer stores it. I print the digital images on archival ink jet paper and giclee canvas. Each picture is hand cut, matted and framed by me in our Green Photography Studio.
All the special digital effects you see, are created in the camera using my skills in adjusting f-stops, shutter speeds, light and exposure controls. brightness, contrast, colour filtration and cropping are the only Photoshop effects I will use in my final pictures. In that sense, I believe my images flow from a more purified style of photography.
As I continue my visual journey, I seek to inspire others with my body of work and that, in turn, inspires me even more.
